This 16” X 11-½” x 11” diorama is 1:87 scale or approximately ⅛” = 1 foot. So, a human figure is about ¾” This diorama was constructed from an old 1950’s Revel polystyrene kit, modified and weathered. The scenery is carved from extruded polystyrene (XPS) foam. I then apply paint and weathering coats. The miniature figures are from the Revel kit. The car and truck are from England and are weathered. The trees and other foliage are constructed from weeds and branches, air dried, assembled and painted along with static grass material. After photographing it from planned angles these were digitally edited and then superimposed over background images of sky or terrain that I took or that I altered from online stock photos. The interior and exterior lights are battery powered sub miniature LED lights.
